5 Ways to Deal With ADHD

Today’s youth is suffering from ADHD in a great number, also stress, lack of employment, depression, use of narcotics, crime and suicides are greater than before, and due to such situation parents and teachers are looking to fail in playing their role.

In the opinion of Marguerite Clancy, a specialist of family relationships, nothing can be determined accurately for treatment of ADHD, but there are certain things that should be kept in mind in order to deal with such kind of problems:

Make a schedule and just follow it only. Also include some laughter and jokes in this time.
Let your child play most of the time.
Maintain a discipline and give rewards where suitable.
Be polite, soft language, short ways to go and establish calmness.
Look for appropriate results for such behaviors.

In the words of Marguerite, “A lot of options are there for parents and teachers to give affection and love to their children in order to make them happy. And for them who don’t have trust on medication, many things are there to be performed”. A playing therapy called Sandplay Therapy, may be used that can give rise to emotions of the children. Her recommendations are that children should make a use of toys in order to get rid of things they are afraid of. They can use dolls, blocks, cars, balls to represent the objects of everyday life that are difficult for them to face. According to Marguerite, the problems that are faced by the children may be very surprising for the parents and when the children are provided a chance to express their emotions through these imaginary objects will be a great help for their treatment.

And when the problems are identified, parents can easily discuss with their children. And if the problem persists, they should be engaged in some kind of sports. The proper use of communication and making a catalogue of frustrations of your child, you will be able to improve the conditions very easily.
